DSE Workstation Assessment
Office Posture offer DSE Risk Assessments as part of our service to customers to ensure they receive high quality and professional information regarding their working environment.
The assessment assists clients and companies in the reduction of absenteeism from work by providing information and/or products to help the client remain or return to the workplace.
By provision of information and a professional assessment, the client will be more comfortable in their workplace, and is less likely to suffer injury or re-injuring, enabling the work to productively improve.
The assessment highlights areas of potential risk of injury which may then be further included as part of a full health and safety audit to avoid potential litigation and risk to employee health in the workplace.
Following assessment, the client will receive a report detailing the issues arising, action to be taken by the client and manager as well as possible solutions/recommendations to meet the client needs.
As this is an independent report, the client is not obliged to purchase products from Office Posture but is welcome to do so.
We will identify significant workplace hazards and recommend further actions necessary to effectively reduce risks. The general working environment can also be assessed by taking readings of lighting levels and relative humidity both of which can have an impact on a person's sense of well being.
Workstation Assessment » Workstations used for display screen equipment e.g. computers and visual display units (VDU's) are required to have an assessment carried out together with the 'user'.
Manual Handling Assessments » Activities involving manual handling where there is concern to the well being of staff carry can be assessed.
Assessments of Floors » Slips, trips and falls are not uncommon on the workplace due to a variety of reasons and we can carry out an assessment of surfaces using an approved HSE method and make any necessary recommendations.
Non-clinical Personal Assessment » Occasionally staff may experience health problems or returning to work after an absence due to ill heath. We can carry out an assessment of an individual in relation to their occupation and the working environment.
